Chip Foster, Hunter Industrial

Chip comes from an all Spartan family dating back to the 40’s, and received his BS from the School of Packaging in 1982. After 5 years of designing and manufacturing plastic closures with Alcoa, he began his career with PepsiCo. Beginning 1987, he held numerous Operations, Sales, Engineering, R&D and Quality leadership roles with both domestic and global responsibilities. Prior to retiring from PepsiCo in 2018, he was the Director of Global Quality for Product, Process, Packaging, Productivity and Food Service Equipment Innovation. Chip is currently the Director of Global Industrial Key Accounts for the Hunter Fan Company . Chip has been active on the Board from the early 80’s, is a past President, has held multiple roles on various committees. In 2016, Chip was awarded the MSU PAA Hall of Fame award, recognizing his support of the School of Packaging and Michigan State University, career accomplishments, and community service. In 2017, Chip was awarded the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources Outstanding Alumnus Award, recognizing those who have distinguished themselves by obtaining the highest level of professional accomplishments, and who possess the highest standards of integrity and character. Chip was inducted into the Farm Lane Society in 2021, honoring individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to the MSU College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and fostering involvement in the college and its alumni association. Originally from South Haven, Michigan, he currently lives on a farm in Centerville, Indiana with his wife Marcia.
